My collection of carnivorous plants
Most of my carnivorous plant collection consists of clones of the Venus flytrap (Dionaea muscipula). These plants fascinate me with their active insect-catching traps that resemble bear traps. Other, less numerous groups in my collection include sundews (Drosera) and butterworts (Pinguicula). Additionally, I have a smaller selection of bladderworts (Utricularia), pitcher plants (Nepenthes), Heliamphoras, and North American pitcher plants (Sarracenia).
I grow these carnivorous plants in indoor conditions. My Venus flytraps thrive on the outdoor windowsill, while the Heliamphoras and some of the pitcher plants are kept in a terrarium. The remaining plants are placed on the indoor windowsill.
I actively aim to expand the number of species in my collection, though space quickly becomes limited given the constraints of apartment living.
